Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Chest Pain, Knee And Leg Pain With Nausea And Lightheadedness?
I m having severe chest pain squeezing, tight, heavy pressure feelings it last awhile, goes away comes back and I m having tight squeezing pain in my right lower part of arm along with pins and needles just in my right hand mainly my thumb. It has started in my right leg from my knee down pain and pins and needles right foot. Pins and needles just started on my left shoulder blade with no pain it s very brief only there. I m also fatigued, have nausea in the a.m., Lightheaded and no appetite. I m getting anxious not sure if I should go to the E.R.
The symptoms you describe, it looks like you are having a panic attack. However, there are some other serious conditions that need to be ruled out, such as acute myocardial infarction( AMI), pulmonary embolus ( PE) etc.
You need to go to the ER to get an EKG and have some labs done. I would suggest you call 911/ER and while they are coming please do the following:
1. Breath in and out of a paperbag
2. Try to stay calm.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Ledia Qatipi
