General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that he might be having myalgia or costo-chondritis.
There is rare possibility of having extra cervical rib giving pinched nerve sensation in the chest.
Go for x-ray cervical region to rule out extra cervical rib.
Apply some analgesic cream locally and if require give some NSAID medicine as and when required.
Ok and take care.
