What Causes Severe Cramps In Lower Abdomen During Pregnancy?

Hi I am 9w 3 days pregnant. I had period cramps constant for hour and a half last night. Followed by a sharp stabbing pain when I stood up quickly off the bed this morning. It only lasted a couple of seconds but it went from my uterus down into the anus. And was fairly pain full

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion the cramps might be muscular in origin or uterine origin.I suggest you to consult a doctor and get an ultrasound done to know the if everything is ok with pregnancy.My aim is not to make you tense but uterine cramps are seen in cases of initial phase of abortion.Muscular cramps are due to calcium deficiency.But definite diagnosis can be made on examination and ultrasound and rule out the cause.Take good rest.Avoid physical strain.Dont worry it will subside with apt treatment.
