Hi my boyfriend just threw up and had diarrhea at the same time all of a sudden out of nowhere and then broke out in hives on his legs. He ate a piece of steak that he had saved from dinner last night. When he ordered the steak last night he ate it and was fine. What s happening? What should I do ? I gave him Benadryl and he s in the bath now. His skin was also red all over.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe diarrhea with hives on legs . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query food poisoning , irritable bowel syndrome , allergic reaction or medication reaction or side-effect . But it seems to me that the symptoms are either due to allergy or food poisoning . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist without any delay to prevent shock like condition . Doctor may prescribe anti allergic , H 2 blockers and gastric lavage . For now take benadryl twice a day , avoid food like sea food and nuts and apply cold compresses on hives to reduce itchiness and redness .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
