What Causes Severe Fluctuations In Blood Sugar Levels?

I am 34/Male. Detected Diabetes Type II 1.5yrs ago. Initially I was on Amaryl 1-0-0 & Glyciphage 1mg 1-0-1, then Doctor increased Amaryl to 1-0-1. Later its changed to GLIMULIN 4 1-0-0, ZOMELIS MET 50/100. But doctor said my Beta cells are damaged & soon I will have to switch to Insulin Injection. My Blood sugars are not under control, it fluctuates very much even for same time, similar food style. 29-Jan it as 122/216 30-Jan 80/149, last week it was 150/246. Please advise. Regards,Om

short answer : you can continue with these drugs for some more time.
detailed answer: all you diabetic medications act on the beta cells to release insulin it is gradually destroyed when a time comes at which there are no adequate reserves of beta cells you have to change to insulin.
now you can continue with the oral medications your doctor has prescribed and review with him every month
have regular aerobic exercises
have regular timely meals
have adequate night 8 hours sleep
these measures along with your medications will keep your blood sugar under control.
hope this explains
