What Causes Severe Groin Pain After Hip Replacement Surgery?

I am a very active 74 yr old woman. I have had successful bilateral knee surgery and one hip replacement after which I have done well. I am now considering having a replacement on my remaining hip as I am experiencing groin pain, have had an injection which lasted for 6 weeks and now am dealing with the groin pain again. I am able to still take long walks (3 miles) but not sure how long I will be able to continue to do that Not sure how long to push the surgery out. We usually go away for three months in the winter and I don t want to get caught in a miserable situation.

Hi,

Yes you should go for hip replacement if symptoms are debilitating . Did you have any recent X-rays ? What were the reports ? Could you message us that?

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
