What Causes Severe Hair Loss While On Gabapentin?

I need help with my skin changing dramatically and my hair falling out very badly . I take Gabapentin and I was told it could lower the level of biotin in the body and that could be connected to the skin and hair problems. Can I be tested to see if the level is too low and causing these things?I am 80 and have always had thin/wimpy hair, but no wit is coming out in my comb literally by the handful. My skin has started to look like it is coming lose from my tissues and kind of hanging in small folds all on my arms and legs and hands. This is very, very much more than old age wrinkles!There has to be an answer besides age! Help me?
