What Causes Severe Heart Palpitations After Taking Percocet?

I am an adult 32 year old female who had a tonsillectomy 5 days ago and was prescribed percocet for pain. I have been experiencing heart palpitations recently when taking medication. Is this dangerous or should I just continue usage? I have no known heart issues, but I do not enjoy the feeling of rapid heart beat.

dear patient,i want to inform you that your heart palpitations are produced due to adverse effect of percocet .percocet decreases the oxygen content in blood due to which heart starts beating fast, due to oxygen deficiency.
i advice you to stop percocet and ask your doctor to administer another safe pain killer.
hope that answers the question.
have a good health.
