What Causes Severe Irritation In The Urethra?

6 months ago i had unprotected sex w a girl. Next day i developed slight irritation on glans and urethral opening...didnt think much of it. Almost immediately, glans developed a slight pink rash more towards the center. Rash is more noticeable when erect, and SLIGHTLY raised. When pulling meatus open to look inside urethra, it is always either bright red or purple. There is a constant stinging or burning feeling, especially when rubbed up against shorts. If i touch the bright red or purpleness inside urethra it is EXTREMELY painful (i know its not meant for touching but this is above and beyond). Rash, stinging, and bright red urethra never gets better or worse...always consistent. No pain during urination. Seen dermatologists- got different steroids, cortizones, anti-fungal creams...nothing makes rash go away. Seen urologists, did STD screening via urine and swab...everything negative. Have been on 10 days of cipro, 5 days of z-pak, and 7 days of Flagyl...no change. Urologist recommends cystoscopy and biopsy on both rash and internal urethra swelling/discoloring/stinging. Before such procedures, i would like to know all the possibilities a biopsy can find...specifically for the internal stinging issue. No external lesions or sores or anything like that ever.

Urologist 's  Response
U have talked abt yourself. how abt the female partner. Does she have discharge per vaginum or any rash or any previous diagnosis. Knowing this may help.
If treatment with drugs is not useful, u need a proper tissue diagnosis. Hence Cystourehtroscopy and biopsy of lesion should help.
