What Causes Severe Knee Pain Along With Tiredness And Abdominal Bloating?
I have very achy knees, especially my left. I ve had ACL reconstruction in 1999 and hip replacement in 2011. Generally tired, tummy bloat, irritable. I try to exercise 3-4 times per week, but it s usually a struggle to do 30 minutes. Joint aches are my biggest concern: knees, low back, thumbs
You have history of ACL reconstruction in 1999, late post operative complications that may cause severe pain in the knees are strength deficits(quadriceps femoris musculature), failure of ACL graft can be another reason. It can be relieved by Strength training & Neuromuscular rehabilitation techniques. Strength testing should ideally be done throughout the recovery phase. Get a follow up clinical examination done by your surgeon to stay on the safer side. Joint aches are indicative of OA or RA. Get your blood & imaging tests done. Get treated at the earliest. You can take NSAIDS for relieve, Naproxen - one sos when pain. Vitamin E, Evion-400, once daily for 15 days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
