What Causes Severe Lower Back Pain After Gallbladder Removal Surgery?

I have had lower back pain for a long time, on the right side. Last November I had my gall bladder removed. I always thought the pain in my back was from my kidney. It still aches. I ve had blood work and ultrasound and there are no problems from the surgery. Could it be something with the kidney?
