What Causes Severe Menstrual Pain While Having An Ovarian Cyst And A Large Myoma?

My wife is suffering from endometriosis , ovarian cyst alongwith a very large myoma (more than 8 cm diameter) inside her uterus . She suffers from heavy period and a lot of pain during her menstruation only. However, of late , she is suffering pain on daily basis even after her period is over. I have already contacted aiims delhi for her surgery which is a time-consuming process. My requirement is how to manage her above pain till the date of operation to a bearable level ...please advise me a doctor to consult regarding this .

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Ovarian cyst and myoma can cause pain. As a first line management you can take analgesics like Mefenemic acid or Tramadol for pain. If symptoms persist better to consult a gynecologist and plan for surgical procedure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
