What Causes Severe Pain In Arm While Breathing Or Coughing?

It s been a few days now that I have received electric shock-like pain down the inside of my upper left arm when I breath in or cough. And oddly enough when I lift my legs to shave. It feels like it cuts off my circulation, numbing like. Not sure what to do

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
Electric I ke sensation along the whole arm is mostly due to nerve compression at neck level mostly due to disc prolapse. Aggravation with sneeze and cough is classical sign of disc herniation. I would advise mri of cervical spine with screening of whole spine. Start tab predmet 8 mg twice a day along with tab pregabalin plus methylcobalamin one at bedtime. You will feel better but mri is must. Follow up with expert neurosurgeon after mri report.
