Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Pain In Right Leg Calf Radiating To Back?
I have a severe pain in the right leg calf, I have had a Doppler test performed and it appear to be normal. The pain is located in one spot on my calf, however it radiates up toward the back of my leg, and I have had no trauma to the sight of pain, what could this be?
The symptoms seem to be related to sciatica pain. I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the pain. I also suggest gentle stretching exercises for relieve. If the symptoms continue, you should see a neurologist and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
