What Causes Severe Pain In Stomach, 2 Inches Above Belly Button?

I am over weight but I have a lot of pain in my stomach 2 inches above my belly button, there is a bulge which hurt but the pain/pressure seems to be relieved by pressing on it. It looks like a hernia but had a cat scan done and it says no. I look pregnant more than over weight.

General Surgeon 's  Response
HI. From you history and findings this looks to be a hernia only. CAT scan really can not diagnose a few things , hernia is one of them. If the swelling increases on coughing or straining and causing the pain , hernia is a sure-shot diagnosis and needs surgical treatment. Obesity is one of the reasons for its development.
