What Causes Severe Pain In The Arm , Shoulder And Elbow After Taking Tatoprol 75 Mg?

i have svt and take toprol 75mg daily. my cardiologist appt is not for 2 more weeks. Today my pulse has been running mid 90's and the last hour i have been experiencing an annoying pain in my left arm between my elbow and shoulder. The pain is not severe. Just kind of feels like my heart beat in my arm ...but is slightly painful. Should i be alarmed?

I have gone through your case and I can understand your concern. Toprol (metoprolol) is a beta-blocker & is used to treat angina (chest pain), arrhythmia and hypertension (high blood pressure). It is also used to treat or prevent heart attack. On the other hand, chest pain or discomfort is a common side effect reported by the patients after start taking this drug, but some metoprolol side effects may not need any medical attention, as your body gets used to the medicine these side effects may disappear. If you will have vomiting, sweating or severe chest pain call immediately emergency service. Take rest enough.
