What Causes Severe Pain In The Lower Abdomen And Back?

I have had this in the past but cannot remember what it was called. My doctor had me go to physical therapy and it helped. I have mild intermittent pain in my lower abdomen and lower back. It does not keep me from doing the things that I want and Advil seems to help.
