I am only bleeding when I use the bathroom and I am screaming in pain. My pains meds aren t helping and I take pretty strong ones. I went to the ER and they said its due to a large fibroid in my uterus but I swear the blood is coming from where I pee not the vagina. I can t stay in pain like this. Please someone help.

Urologist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for query .

Blood in urine (Hematuria) associated with severe pain could be due to one of the few following reasons
1) Infection of bladder (Cystitis)
2) Mass in the bladder
3) Urinary stone .

It needs to be investigated thoroughly.

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Endoscopic Examination of Bladder (Cystoscopy)

In the mean while take antibiotic like Ciprofloxacin and Nitrofurantoin twice daily wit urine alkalozer thrice daily .

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
