What Causes Severe Pseudogout In The Ankles, knees And Wrists?

I have been hospitalized with a severe attack of Psuedo Gout in my ankle, knee, hand and wrist. I was severely swollen and screamed if even touched. 90 cc s of fluid with calcium crystals was withdrawn from my knee. Never had it before, came on in 2 days. With fluid and IVs it resolved in 4 days. What can you tell me about this.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult rheumatologist and get evaluated. As of now analgesics like Tramadol or Diclofenac can be taken for pain relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
