What Causes Severe Soreness And Stiffness In The Knee After Meniscus Surgery?

I have had meniscus surgery in 2005 ......I maintain a pretty active workout routine I am 54. now when I sit for given period of time my same surgical knee gets stiff and sore when I get up to walk. However, if I walk it off the stiffness goes away

This definitely sounds like arthritis, which you are predisposed to because of previous knee damage. See your GP.
