What Causes Severe Stomach Pain After Eating Food?

My mom is having acute stomach pain after eating ,we are staying in village previously we went to city for diagnosis which is 5hrs journey from our village while reaching their her pain was vanished but doctor told to have endoscopy test which showed the result of swelling inside stomach ,she is taking regular medicine but the pain is still on ..from now she has started skipping meals due to fear of stomach ache after eating.her weight is 98 kg...so please guide me to consult her with a doctor...

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having symptoms of severe stomach pain after eating food which seems to be due to food intolerance, gastroenteritis , intestinal ileus, food poisoning , irritable bowel syndrome and due to underlying systemic pathology. Need not to worry. Drink plenty of fluids. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may take history and order stool test , ultrasound, and endoscopy. Doctor may prescribe laxative , ornidazole or albendazole along with ranitidine.

- You should eat light and non spicy.

- You should take proper course of antacid along with proton pump inhibitors. You should take antacid after every meaL.

- Keep your head elevated while lying down.

- Avoid intake of outside food.
