What Causes Severe Watery Stools In A Child?

Hi doc my baby is Turning ten months year old she has stool seven times a day but some times it is watery. Usually she passes twice or thrice a day.She usually having raagi wheat rice dal apple mango etc what shud i do. Is she is suffering from loose motions.

I really appreciate your concern, passing the stool three to four time in day is normal one but it may not be more than that, if this is so then it could be due to infection and the most common infection is viral, the most concern part of this case is dehydration and it needs to be taken great care else the diarrhea will come around on its own, in pediatric age any symptoms can not be taken as granted and particularly diarrhea could be the main cause of emergency, or serious condition, child should be kept under medical observation if symptoms persist, may requires IV fluids, the over all body volume of children is very low and can easily become dehydrated in diarrheal condition, I would advise to keep your eye open, hope this information helps.
