What Causes Sharp Aching And Tingling Feeling In The Ankle?

Hello, I rolled my ankle 3 nights ago. The first night I could not put any weight on my foot and that contiuned through day 2. Today my foot still hurts when sitting and is worse with standing and excercising. There is no swelling or bruising and the pain is sharp aching and tingling. I had an X-ray done on day 2 and they said there are no fractures. Any ideas on what this could be?

probably some ligament is implicated.it will be safer if you walk barest minimum for daily routine, avoid all exercise and give it a rest for 10 days. Take anti-inflammatory analgesics diclofenac/paracetamol twice daily for 5 days after mels. while lying down keep your ankle supported over soft cushions and elevated from bed
