What Causes Sharp Anal Pain With Swollen Rectum?

Very sharp anal pain when going to the bathroom and up to 3-4 hours after. I went to the Dr. And they said I have anal fissures so they prescribed nifedipine ointment. It s been over a month and still the same pain. The ointment reduces the pain. I noticed today that it looks like my rectum is swollen on the side and there appears to be a white shaped object a few centimeters long. I m kind of freaking out. Any advice will be greatly appreciated! !!!

Hi and welcome to Healthcare magic.Thank you for the query.
It seems like you expereince rectum prolapse and this is caused by weakened rectum wall which may occur as consequence of fissure, hemorrhoidsor poylps. You need to dorectoscopy and have more invasive surgical treatment to repair this issue.
Wish you good health. Regards
