What Causes Sharp Pain And Muscle Spasms On Left Side Of Body?
Hello. I recently have been having sharp pain or muscle spasms that occur on the left side of my body under my breast but have also occurred on the right side. It often is brought about with sudden movements, examples include bending to put lotion on legs, getting up to qiuckly, yet it s becoming more frequent. When it happens It s often hard to breath much less move around and very uncomfortable. When I look at my chest I can see the tightening of the muscles. There is tenderness right around the top of the rib cage on my left side...I am generally very healthy. Can you help? Thank you!
Muscle spasms can be caused by: (1) electrolyte disturbance (2)over use of particular muscles (3) side effect of medication (4) anemia or other cause of poor circulation to an area (5) chronic illness like diabetes or kidney disease (6)disease of the nervous system
It is continues, you should see your doctor for an assessment and blood tests such as full blood count, electrolytes, kidney function, screening of any other conditions. Make sure to drink enough fluids and review any medications to determine if this is noted as a possible side effect.
I hope this helps
