Hello I ve been having strange pains under my right rib cage and were my diaphragm is. I just sneezed and there was a sharp pain were I believe my right lung is, yes I m worried it could be lung cancer since I ve smoked a lot of weed (not sure if causes cancer but could) I m not big on tobacco but I still smoke it sometimes. I just got back from the doctor hoping to get an x-ray but all he did was feel certain points of my body and asked if it hurt ( It mostly didn t ) but I feel the check up wasn t thorough enough since lungs are deeper in the body please help

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you may be suffering from pleurisy. Treatment of it is analgesic such as ibuprofen. These symptoms does not point towards lung cancer but you can get your High Resolution CT of lung done to further investigate. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
