What Causes Sharp Pain In Leg While Kneeling Down?

sure, I have a pain on the left side of knee/leg, it does not hurt while walking, or bending the knee, however, when I kneel, sometimes a sharp pain shoots then I need to get up quickly, and it goes away, so, now I am guarded when I kneel and do so slowly, it started after I jogged on the beach a few weeks ago, and I now don t do it, but, it is still there

Hi,Welcome to healthcare magic. After going through your query I think You are suffering from osteoarthritis of knee joint. You need further investigation by x ray of both knee joints in standing position. Analgesics such as diclofenac slow release tablets is helpful in pain relief. Diacerinre and glucosamine sulfate protect cartilage from breakdown and help in cartilage regeneration. Quadriceps exercises is started after pain relief. Serum vitamin D test is advised and if it is low than vitamin D supplementation will be required. You can discuss with your treating doctor. I do hope that you have found something helpful.
