What Causes Sharp Pain In Lower Part Of Stomach After A Colonoscopy?

Thank You! My wife had a colonoscopy on the 28th of May. Yesterday she started having very sharp pains in her lower left part of her stomach. It hurts a little all the time but when she goes to do anything the pains are very sharp for about 5 seconds.

Hello
Thank for choosing HCM
I appreciate your concern, what the lower left abdomen pain is there it may not be due to the colonoscopy done, although it is not mentioned here for what the test was done, it could be inflammatory condition of ascending colon (Colitis ) this could be the reason and in differential diagnosis, Urinary track infection, urinary stone, renal colic, salpingitis can be though, in my opinion condition can be managed with antispasmodic and antibiotic like Dicyclomine and Amoxicillin 500 mg three times in day orally, for correct diagnosis Ultrasonography is must along with routine blood test, hope this information helps.
