What Causes Sharp Pain In One Side Of The Head?

I have experienced this multiple times, which is starting to worry me, I would be doing something e.g. work and a sharp pain occurs at the side of my head then it goes away after a couple of seconds, but sometimes it gets so bad I have to stop what I am doing, should I be worried?

Hello dear,
Unilateral short duration pain may be due to cluster headache if it occurs unilateral with periodicity and located periorbitally with attacks in sleep or early morning.
Other possibilities may be short lasting unilateral neuralgiform headache with conjunctival injection with burning
