What Causes Sharp Pain In The Lower Abdomen On The Right Side?

I m a 67 y w/m w/stomach pains, sharp stabbing especially after eating on the lower right side. Been eating bland foods which are not as disruptive. I ve had a CT scan with no acute symptoms. I have an appointment w/a surgeon who performs colonoscopy & endoscopy. no diarrhea, constipation. Fairly regular bowel movements. any suggestions?

You may be suffering from gastrtic ulcer/duodenal ulcer or Irritable Bowel syndrome or food Intolerance or infection etc..

other possibilities like cholicystitis or cholicystitis may present right hypocondrium pain.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is
Avoid spicy food and fatty diet, if symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and do scan abdomen and treat you accordingly.
