What Causes Sharp Pain In The Palm Of The Left Hand?

I am experiencing extremely sharp pain in my left palm of my hand. Today I went to use a three hole puncher with the palm of my hand and went through the roof. The pain was so severe like I had needles in my hand. It is then very sore afterwards. What is this. Not first time I ve experienced it. I cannot even grip the steering wheel of my car.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As of now you can use analgesics/anti inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/Seratiopeptdase for symptomatic relief. Conditions like fasciitis has to be considered. In severe cases steroid injection to the palm may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you all the best.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
