What Causes Sharp Pain In The Shoulder And Ribs While Yawning?

occassionally when I yawn I get a very sharp pain in my sholder which runs along my side below my rib cage. It lasts about 10-15seconds; but the pain is so intense I tense my body trying to deal with it until it goes away. Any idea what might cause this?

It is due to muscular pain.

If the pain is severe, you can consider NSAID like aceclofenac or diclofenac for symptomatic relief.

Generally, no active treatment is required.
