What Causes Sharp Pain On The Lower Left Side Of Rib?
I am having a sharp pain on the lower left side of my rib while laying down. Scale of 1-10, it feels about a 5 or a 6. My wife put her fingers where the sharp pain was, and she said it felt like a large vein was beating/pulsing. This went on for about a minute and a half. I also for the past few days have felt like fluid is dripping down my espogous and/or phelm I can't clear. I am starting to become nervous.
I suggest you should be examined by a doctor at the earliest possible. There could be several causes for the problem you are facing. It is very difficult to comment without a physical examination. One important cause is cardiac related. Ischaemic heart disease should be ruled out before other causes can be thought of. ECG etc may be required for the same. Other causes are local injury to the rib, acid peptic disease etc. I suggest you to go to the emergency at the earliest possible.
