Noted the history about 36 year old female, sharp stomach pains in upper right quadrant like a knife stabbing and twisting in an area below right
rib cage, at times radiating to shoulder blade, all tests point to IBS, now have
chest pain on right side for last 2 days,
shortness of breath, pain radiating to right shoulder, wants to know whether a
gall bladder issue...
Yes, this looks to be related to gall bladder or bile duct issues.
I would advise you the following urgently to get a proper diagnosis as the symptomatic period can give positive findings:
Urgent contrast enhanced CT scan of the chest and abdomen to see for the cause.
Liver functions and other blood tests.
Tests of stool and urine.
Clinical evaluation and examination by a
General Surgeon to have clinical diagnosis and have correlation with tests and to take a decision about the further treatment.
