What Causes Shooting Pain In Leg Up To The Buttocks?
I have trouble walking and with posture...I have, at times, shooting pain up my right leg and it seems to stop around my butt or very low area of my back. I ve taken Aleve sparingly and some supplements for muscle and joint issues...I continue to move about because I m not a lay around and do nothing sort of person. Could I have cold in my body that s causing this?...What could it be?
Dear patient Shooting pain in entire right leg is mostly due to radiculopathy and nerve compression at your back. Few more details should be added to your history. Have u lifted heavy weight recently? Have you jerk to your beck?have you been through accident? If anything of this kind has happened to you then chances of disc prolapse is likely.i would advise strict bed rest for few days. Start tab vitamin B12 plus pregabalin at bedtime for 7 days. Take tab prednisone 5 mg for 10 days. I would advise mri of lumbosacral spine with screening of whole spine to rule out possibility of disc prolapse.if anything appears abnormal in report take visit to spine surgeon.
