What Causes Shooting Pain In The Lower Abdomen?

I have sharp shooting pain in my lower left abdomen when gas passes through whatever it has to pass through. My stool has slowed way down and only comes out in small soft pieces now. If I push to pass more I get a sharp shooting pain in my mid abdomen on the left side. When it originally started it was a dull swollen pain that got better in a few days and stools returned to normal. I began a workout program before I was back to 100%. After two or three hard workouts I suddenly felt the sharp pain instead of the dull. I have almost no apatite. This has been going on for couple days. No fever or vomiting. Any Idea?
