What Causes Skin Discoloration After Taking Oxidil?
my baby had a chest infection since 3 months. doctors had suggested her many antibiotics. few days back a doctor suggested her 10 Oxydil injections for 5 days. after that he suggested her Acefyl cough syrup and an antibiotic named Azomax . today i have noticed that her skin is turning blue from back and hips. what can be reason of this appearance. kindly guide me.
Oxidil (ceftriaxone) or Azomax(azithromycin) can cause skin rashes. However discontinuation of the drug causing such rash or discoloration usually resolves the skin lesions. Acefyl cough syrup contains antihistamine diphenhydramine which to some extent may help in resolving any drug induced skin reaction.
