What Causes Skin Problems And Weight Loss While On Eliquis?

Yes, I have been taking Eliquis for a couple of years. Very few skin problems at first but for last few months it has become almost intolerable. It is driving me crazy. I have lost about 15 pounds during that time and now weigh less than 150 pounds. Could a reduction in the daily dosage help? I take it for AFib.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The skin problems is probably related to an allergy reaction.
These kind of problems does not go away by changing the doses of the medication.
I suggest you to consult your doctor to take an alternative medication.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
