What Causes Sleeplessness And Night Sweats During Periods?

I am currently 58 years old and have had a hysterectomy a number of years ago. Currently I am on an Estrogen Patch. Periodically I have periods where I will go several nights without sleeping at all and I stay hot and sweat at night. Is there anything I can do without taking another Prescription?

Hi,

For hot flashes, night sweat & insomnia you should get hormonal therapy done so that your symptoms stay effectively under control. Stay away from addictions if any (alcohol, cigarettes, caffeine, etc).

Take natural supplements like vitamin E, Soy, flax, omega-3, multivitamin supplements with minerals, exercise regularly, use cotton clothes.

You can take SSRI's & sedatives under consultation with a PCP. Stay well nourished & well hydrated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
