What Causes Small Cell Lung Cancer Despite Clean Habits?
My friend was diagnosed with Small cell lung cancer last week , he is 27 years old and has never smoked a day in his life. Nor has he been exposed to second hand smoke, asbestos or Radon. He was told his cancer has spread to the other lung and 2 days ago he started Chemo. He was a healthy individual who jogged everyday and ate healthy. What can this be from, is this common, whats next?

Somtimes lung cancer can occur due to hereditary causes and also due to passive smoking.
He is in stage 4 and palliative chemotherapy needs to be started.
