What Causes Small Lump Under Eyelid ?

Hi , my daughter who is 5 years old has had a ball like thing under her eyelid and her eye was a little swollen and red . she says it don t hurt her at all but I don t like the way it looks. do you have any idea what it could be please.. thank you very much

The Lump you see is a chalasion , it is due to collection of secretions(infected)in the mebomian glands , usually a medical management is sort for first , if not then we remove it surgically

steroid ointment at night to be applied daily for at least 2 weeks.since removal at this age requires anaesthesia it is better to give nature a chance to dissolve this chalazion.conservative treatment can at times help.

Thanks for query,
Your daughter might have infected stye or mybabian cyst.
Go for antibiotic course.
put antibiotic cream or drops.
Do hot fomentation.
