What Causes Small Soft Bump Of Calf When Lifting Weight Or Running?

Hi my son (22) has been intense about his gym workouts and hockey schedule...he has shown me that he saw a small, soft bump on his calfthat doesnt cause pain...it appears more after he lifts weights or runs...we dont have medical insurance at this time...but we're wondering what it might be

I am so sorry to hear about lump and all the inconveniences this has caused you and your son. The fact that it is more evident during workouts and it is painless makes it more likely to be a muscle and nothing much to bother about. For now, monitoring a lone is sufficient and needs no immediate medical attention unless something else comes up.
