What Causes Small White Lumps Under The Skin Of Neck?

hi, i just wondered if you could outline poss causes of hyprcalcaemia in my 9 day old baby who is being breast fed-we have a follow-up appointment in hospital next week but i am concerned. she is a very good baby and i believe her to be feeding well but have been told she needs to gain weight. she has two very small white lumps just under the skin of her neck and i am wondering if she is dehydrated or if its more complex. I also wonder will the bloods taken check her thyroid,kidneys etc

Hi... with the minimal information provided I am not able to deliver diagnosis to you as of now. But I can reassure you one thing - if the baby is active and feeding well and gaining appropriate weight of at least 25 to 30 grams per day and is passing urine at least 6th hourly once then your baby is normal. You need not worry about her health as of now. Regarding the small lumps which you have mentioned under the skin I suggest you upload images of the same so that I will be even in a better position to guide you further.
