Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I've been having soft stool for over a month now. It's fibrous and frequent; about 4-5 times a day. I eat a lot and I feel fine other than having lots of gas, especially before I need to defecate and needeing to do so quite quickly... What do you think is wrong with me?
Some advices that I can give to you are: -Avoid spicy foods, fruits, alcohol, and caffeine until 48 hours after all symptoms have disappeared. -Avoid chewing gum that contains sorbitol. -Avoid milk for three days after symptoms disappear. -You can eat cheese or yogurt with probiotics. -Take probiotic supplements -Do a stool test to rule out the cause of the symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
