Hello I share your concern heart burn or acid reflux may occur due to stomach hyperacidity or hiatus hernia
In my opinion you should avoid smoking and drinking because smoking can irritate lining of stomach or oesophagus You can take anti acidity medicines like pantoprazole or rabeprazole with syrup sucralfate or antacids Avoid fatty fried and spicy food have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables have plenty of fluids like lemon water and fruit juices.
If it persists or worsens further you should consult a gastroenterologist for an endoscopy and further treatment which your doctor knows Hope this answers your question Please feel free to ask for more assistance I will be happy to help you best wishes
