What Causes Sore Throat And Cold While On Dayquil?

Hello, I have cold like symptoms on and off for about 3 weeks now. I have also had a sore throat and swollen lymph nodes under my chin on and off for the same amount of time. I have taken Dayquil and nightquil, but have been trying not to take it consistently for the 3 weeks.

Hi,

The given symptoms of cold and swelling of lymph node could be due to viral infection or allergic condition, although swelling lymph node could be nonspecific and it has to be confirmed clinically that it is due to some infection.

Bacterial infection mostly cause the lymph node swelling but bacterial infection comes with high grade fever, it can be enlarge lymph node but it may not be swelling, if this is the allergic condition then it may take few days for to come around, it is no need to worry about it tablet Levocetirizine can be tried.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
