I had breast cancer 10 years ago.Had Thyroid removed 2 years ago because of precancerous nodules.Have had a very sore throat in the very back of throat with swollen glands for about 3 weeks.only gets painful from 6-11 oclock.Isn t that weird? Was on antibiotic for ten days.Did not help.Completely lost my voice for 3 days during this time. What could it be? Only on right side. What specialist should I see and why? Thanks for your guidance.Marie
Hi. Thanks for your query, read and understood your concerns: You should see an ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation and investigations as needed. Noted your cancer of the breast and now the thyroidectomy for pre-cancerous nodules and have very sore throat, swollen glands, This is only on the right side and have lost voice for 3 days. This looks to be due to granular pharyngitis. Proper antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines should help you.
