What Causes Sore Throat, fever And Back Pain Post Sex?

Had drunk sex this past Friday night, with a condom. It s Sunday now and Im having a slight fever, aches and pains in my lower back, and a slight sore throat. Does this mean I have caught some sort of sti or std from the person I had sex with? I don t have any problems while urinating however.

Hello and welcome.

We cannot be sure with just a few symptoms and in such a situation we are in the dark until we can go ahead with an STD panel. For now it would be wise if at all you can get in touch with the person you had sexual intercourse with. For any information on the sexual status and at all any information on infections.

Wait for 14 days from the date of the 'drunk sex' event and report for an STD-panel. Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
