What Causes Soreness Around The Injection Site?

I had a TDaP injection in left shoulder. 10 days later shoulder around injection site is still very sore, difficult to raise arm above head, feels like a muscle tear around injection site. No visible swelling or redness. But very sharp pain when trying to use the arm, especially when raising it. Suggestions?

Hi,

Soreness around the injection site is due to allergic reaction to the vaccination you received. Since there is no visible sign of swelling or redness you need not to worry.

Take pain relievers like Ibuprofen/Combiflam when pain. You should get comfortable. Try to keep moving your arm, if you keep it still it will hurt. If you get fever you should contact your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
