What Causes Soreness In Nipples After Taking Contraceptive Pills?

Im 2 weeks into taking my orsythia birth control and have noticed my nipples have been very tender and almost sore to even lay on is that common? I read it could be a sign of pregnancy but I just had my period 3 weeks ago so there s no way I could be experiencing very early pregnancy signs?

Hello,

Sore breast is a very common side effect of hormonal contraceptive pills. This side effect will eventually subside.

Meanwhile, use a bra that provides ample support to your support. Apply ice packs if the pain is too bothersome. Since you had your period 3 weeks ago, it is highly unlikely that the symptoms are caused due to pregnancy. However, if you do not experience withdrawal bleeding, then please be advised to take a home pregnancy test.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
